Hi,
The reason I joined the community is because I was searching for info on how to build a power inverter plus battery backup or current supplementation system. I saw the community and decided to join. I am basically looking for a way to combine a current limiter and battery backup system. The reason is because I am very interested in protecting home fuses from reaching overload from home appliance over use and would like a battery to take over during current limiting operations. I think this would be a very good product for low to mid incomes that can not afford to rewire their homes yet, but have appliances that are used sparingly such as a microwaves, toasters, coffee brewers that are used in conjunction with a refrigerator or other continuously running appliances.
Also I was wandering if there is any product currently on the market that lets you do either of the following. Set the max current and then provide battery backup only during over current use and is solid state and quiet so the fuse is never exceeded until the battery is completely discharged at which point it will itself shutdown the circuit. Or automatically set the max current after detecting over current situations where the fuse was overloaded and then itself limits the current coming into the system.
Also I was wandering about the market potential for such a product and whether it is a viable product in the United States.
Thank you,
Marc Noon
