We have an advanced embedded system using the msp432p401r chip and have noticed some problems when accessing flash.
This is not a launch pad.
Has anyone else noticed any problems?
Here is what we have seen...
- under some conditions (we aren't sure how to duplicate yet), we are not able to erase flash. (we clear the protect bits in the FLCTL protect registers, and do a MassErase, but the sectors don't erase)
- We have noticed that undersome conditions (not sure how to duplicate) that when reading a value from the flash it sometimes comes back wrong. If we single step the program the value is correct, if we add some debugging code that reads the value, and run at full speed, it comes back wrong.
- Intermittently, we have noticed that reading values from flash come back wrong (could be the same as the previous item).
We have seen these problems with our custom hardware (80pin BGA) as well as with the MSP432P401R launch pad (100 pin chip quad)
Any one experience anything similar?
We are using TI code for setting up the core processor registers. We are using TI code for erasing and programming the flash.
Are they any particular settings in the FLCTL registers I should start with checking.?
