I am using the Hercules RM42L432 MCU by way of the LAUNCHXL RM42 LaunchPad EVAL kit.
I activated some of the Safety features of the MCU by way of HALCOGEN. Once ESM (Error Signaling Module) system was enabled, the RED ESM LED located on the eval kit illuminated as should be, however resetting the MCU does not remove the ERROR indication. My host PC became disconected and was locked out from the eval bd once the ESM was enabled. I was not able to remove the fault via debug because once the error is latched and the error light is illuminated on the eval bd, I can not access the MCU through the DEBUG facility, because you are locked out and can not connect to the eval board.
When this initially occurred we immediately purchased a replacement LAUNCHXL EVAL Card, thinking we had damaged the card in some way? When the new card was powered it appeared to be operational. The instant we loaded the code image containing the ESM (Error Signaling Module) being enabled, the EVAL card once again locked up and can not be accessed. If you have knowledge of how to remove the error from the MCU, please notify me.
