CC3220MOD: CC31xx/C32xx as STA: Getting Signal strength from AP?

Using a CC31xx/CC32xx as STA and some standard Wifi 802.11b,g,n AP:
is it possible for the STA to get the signal strength from different APs?

The idea is to use the signal strength at the application level to do some kind of localization.
This would be close to the localization principle used with BLE beaconing.
