BQ24195: Input current limitation

Hi,

when first I used the BQ24195 I didn't realize that D+ and D- have to be short circuited not to have input current limitation. I short circuited soldering these pins together and then I don't have this issue anymore. When my initial input power supply is 14V the IC works fine and if I go down to,for example, 6V, where the current consumption is bigger than 100 mA, still works fine. The strange thing is that when the initial power supply is 6V the IC doesn't work anymore and it seems to be current limited because the consumption is almost 100 mA. 

Any ideas?
