CC3200STK-WIFIMK: Configuring and connecting the Sensortag Wifi to a remote endpoint (such as cloud)

Hello

I'm new to the SensorTag and have just received two Wifi devices. I plan to use one of them to monitor my boat during winter storage (in my garden, within home Wifi reach). Ultimately I'd like it to send ambient temperature, ambient light, humidity, and air pressure to a REST interface I develop (e.g. on Google Cloud, MS Azure, IBM Bluemix, or on a server on my own network). Or I could have a script on my network poll the SensorTag regularly. I'm open to anything that allows me to pull this data from device. To save battery it's enough if I get data every 5-10 minutes.

I easily got it connected to IBM Watson IOT platform so I could see that it worked, and it also works in the TI SensorTag mobile app. But how to I take the next step; customizing the device to talk to an endpoint of my choice?

Do I need to purchase and download the DevPack ($30) for this purpose. Use Temboo? Or what is the most straightforward way?

Thanks in advance

Henrik Sjöstrand
