DRV8662: Supply Voltage

Hello !  

I'm wondering if it is possible to supply directly the DRV8662 from 2 alkaline cells. The total voltage can go as low as 2V, which is below the min recommended voltage of 3V.

Will it still work with some impact on the performance or do I absolutely need a boost converter?
