I have just received my TAS5624 EVM and cannot seem to talk to the TAS5538 USB board correctly.
I am using TAS55XX_GUI.exe version 2.1.10.
When I read back all registers return 0x00 and report as "Read successful". Additionally I see no activity on the SDA/SCL connections on the USB board. Tools-Dump all registers all return 0x00.
I seem to be able to "connect" regardless of whether the USB board is plugged in or not !
On a side note, when I move the COAX/SPDIF switch position to 'Opto' both the coax and opto LEDs illuminate. Likewise with the USB/SPDIF switch when in USB position.
The drivers seem to be installed correctly and I have tried on 2 different computers with the same results. HID compliant device and USB human interface devie appear under Human Interface Devices and USB audio device under sound appear when plugged in to the USB board.
When USB is plugged in the board responds to the mute button (S6) by toggling the mute LED, I2C LED is not lit. When I unplug the USB cable the mute and I2C LEDs illuminate and mute does not respond to S6.
Thoughts?
