AFE4490SPO2EVM: Can't write to registers in Low Level Configuration on EVM GUI

Part Number:AFE4490SPO2EVM

I have an AFE4490 EVM. The board has AFE4490 checked on the top and I can see AFE 4490 on the chip itself.

I downloaded the AFE44x0SPO2EVM GUI (version 2.0), and my firmware is version 1.4. I tried the "check for GUI update" button but it says I am up to date.

I tried the Device Reset button. No dice.

The problem is that the Global Setting tab under Device Configuration automatically shows my Device ID as AFE4400, not AFE4490.

I think this prevents me from accessing the I-V Amplifer and Amb cancellation DAC drop down menus. I have a board that I built in which I would like to average the LED samples, so I am trying to simulate the same thing on the EVM board. To do this, I set my pulse repetition frequency to 4ms, and am trying to average 16 samples. To do this, I need to change the 8 bits in the CONTROL1 register, but they are grey-ed out in my low level configuration. I try to type "100001111" and press the Write Register button, but it doesn't write to the board (1111 is equivalent to 16-1 samples, which the format the data sheet says I'm supposed to use). The data sheet for AFE4400 doesn't have an "averaging samples" section, so I think having a Device ID of AFE4400 instead of AFE4490 is why I can't write to my EVM.

Anyone know how to either change my device ID to AFE4490, or how to give me the ability to change the grey-ed out options of my GUI (averaging registers, or amb amplification?).

Thanks in advance. Relevant screenshots below.

Want access to these drop down menus.

Device ID set to AFE4400, not AFE4490.

Cant write to the 8 bits I need to change to average samples. PRPCOUNT want changed automatically when I change to 250hz (~4ms)
