Part Number:BEAGLEBK

Hi TI Team,

Recently I bought Beaglebone Black. Basically my requirement is to use the existing kernel source, build it and flash it on to the BBB and see if it works (this is the preparation we need to do until H/W team does the schematic/ layout and gerber for AM335x).

My dev environment is Ubuntu 14.04 -

Till now,

1. I am able to boot the board with the existing image in the emmc.

2. Tried to compile the code from the link git clone https://github.com/RobertCNelson/ti-linux-kernel-dev.git
cd ti-linux-kernel-dev/

Able to build it - put the built image (.zImage) into SD card and not able to boot the board from SD card.

a. Is there any writeup to find out, if my image built is fine or not.

b. Is there any specific steps I need to follow to boot from SD?

c.Followes steps mentions in  https://eewiki.net/display/linuxonarm/BeagleBone+Black#BeagleBoneBlack-TIBSP - but still no luck

d. I took Kenel and TI BSP verion 4.9 and root file system 14.04 (https://github.com/RobertCNelson/ti-linux-kernel-dev.git)  (as mentioned in the above link)

3. Is there any pre-built image I can download and put on the SD Card to test the boot process?

Let me know if you need any other details about this.

With best regards,

Phani.
