I am building an autonomous outdoor starting system based on proximity. I decided to use this development kit under the advice of a TI engineer. I have written my code and that works just fine but my problem is that the range is too large (I am getting 30+ ft) and I need them to only operate if within 5 feet or so from each other. I have read over the documents, user guides, and everything else I could find but haven't found anything to help me lower the range to what I need it to be.If at all possible I would like to lower the power draw of the boards as much as possible as well since they will be working on batteries. I have tried the lower power operation modes of the controller but according to the data sheets that will not make much of a difference (.5 mA draw difference).
Anyway, my primary concern is lowering the range of the boards. Does anyone know how to do that?
PS if there is another kit that would be better suited please let me know.
