When I read book Bluetooth Low Energy: The Developer's Handbook , I know, temperature this kind value can broadcast via Adv channel. It's a good idea, no need go to connection state, so that we can get the temperature just in scanning state!
But, at page 72, I read this sentence: "For active scanning to work efficiently, the data in the scan response must be mostly static because this data is expensive in terms of energy expended to retrieve due to the additional two packets that are transmitted or received. The data in the original advertising packet, however, can change regularly because this will always be received".
What's meaning? If I want to design a product just show temperature value from sensor on my phone, ask the sensor send out temperature value via adv, is it a good way or not?
