Hi,
I would like some clarification on the note in the TMS320C672x (dMAX) Reference Guide:
"It is not recommended to access the active register set, indexes, reference counter (within the transfer entry), or event entry of a transfer in progress."
If the Active Count or Active Source Address register within the Transfer Entry memory is read, but not written, during a transfer in progress will this cause a fault in the dMAX? If so, why is this not allowed and what is the outcome?
Our current software design requires reading the Active Count register to check the PP bit and also the Active Source Address register to get an idea of the dMAX transfer progress.
Thanks.
