hi!!
im usin the ADS!1298 for an EMG adquisition system and i would like to send the converted data through SPI module to PC but i dont want to use a microcontroller, so i thought in use a chip (the max3420E) to convert the SPI interface in USB and conect directly the ADS with the computer. now im wonderign if this is a good idea, can i manipulate the ADS without a Micro?
otherwise i have a preamplifier before the ads because if i am right the amplitude of the emg signals can be smaller than ECG signals (5uV to 10mV emg and 2.5mv ecg) and my system will work with feet muscules (little ones) so i set a diferential preamplifier with gain=10 (besides i set the gain 12 in the pga) but for my reference electrode im not sure if i should use an amplifier for this to and how set it, i set this electrode with the RLD_IN pin multiplexed into 8 channel.
so, what you think? im in the right way??
