Part Number:AM5716
In general, it seems that the AM571x GEL files will configure various clocks to their maximum frequencies per Table 5-9 of the datasheet. However, there is a discrepancy concerning DSP_CLK as shown in the table below:
Update: I have added a column for how the PDK SBL configures DSP_CLK. It is behaving the same as the GEL files.
OPP | Max DSP_CLK frequency from Table 5-9 | DSP_CLK frequency configured by GEL files | DSP_CLK frequency configured by PDK SBL |
OPP_NOM | 600 MHz | 600 MHz | 600 MHz |
OPP_OD | 700 MHz | 650 MHz | 650 MHz |
OPP_HIGH | 750 MHz | 750 MHz | 750 MHz |
I just wanted to confirm that there is no technical reason why the GEL files are not configuring DSP_CLK to run at 700 MHz for OPP_OD. This is important to me as I am planning to run the DSP at that OPP on my custom board. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
Best regards,
Dave
