WL1271: Starting WLAN crashes BT

We have integrated a TiwiR2 module with a Freescale i.MX6 processor, based on a reference design by a 3rd party vendor (Boundary Devices). The problem we see is however of a character that makes it relevnt to post the question here.

WLAN and Bluetooth both seem to work perfectly. But whenever the WLAN part is taken up, by "ifconfig wlan0 up", the BT part stops operating:

root@MBC ~$ start_BT
Found a Texas Instruments' chip!
Firmware file : /lib/firmware/TIInit_7.2.31.bts
Loaded BTS script version 1
texas: changing baud rate to 3000000, flow control to 1
Device setup complete
root@MBC ~$ hcitool scan

This is perfectly reproducible. I checked that the BT_EN signal doesn't toggle during the ifconfig (and it shouldn't, as the driver complex has not hint about which GPIO connects to BT_EN).

Kernel is 3.0.35 with i_MX6 patches.

It looks very strange to me - my hope is that it rings a bell somewhere - the module is not supposed to behave in this way, right? :)

Thanks in advance,

Henrik
