High-speed real time addressing of DLP

Dear all,

In our research group we are very interested in acquiring a DLP but we are not sure what would be the best one for us (we are completely inexpert on DMDs/SLMs). I make you 5 cents of what we want to do.

We would like to send a laser beam through a scattering material, which distorts the shape of the laser beam, measure this distortion and correct it in real-time (one can design a correction pattern that controls the direction of different light rays to compensate any distortion). We want to do it fast (at the milisecond time scale), reason for which we will need to change very fast what is projected in the DLP. Since the distortion produced by the scattering material is unknown, we cannot pre-load the correction binary map applied on the DLP, we need to measure and send the binary map in real time.

We were thinking about using the DLP 3000/4500/6500 LightCrafter EVM, but we are not sure if they will allow us to do what we want to. As far as I understand, we could mediate with the DLP through HDMI as a monitor and change the projection pattern in real time, but in this case we would be limited to 60Hz (please, correct me where I'm wrong). Is it any way to "load" in real time different binary maps into the DLP? Is it possible to do what we want to? And if yes, could you tell me please which DLP is the best option).

Many thanks in advance,

Alex.
