TMS320F28377S: C2000 / TMS320F28377S => SPI FIFO Usage

Hello there,

i have a question regarding the FIFO feature in the TMS320F28377S. From the examples i can´t really distinguish, how to invoke the FIFO  in contrast to writing to  SpiaRegs.SPITXBUF= data;
My estimation is, if the FIFO enhancement is enbabled by SpiaRegs.SPIFFTX.all = 0xC022;    // Enable FIFOs, set TX FIFO level to 4  a write to SpiaRegs.SPITXBUF actually writes to the FIFO?
Is that true?
