Hi Team,
Customer is test BQ25895M, and they get one question during the test.
In our datasheet, 8.2.2 says the BATFET would conduct with battery only, if the battery voltage is high than VBAT_DPLZ, which is 2.7V max. However during their test, they find the battery voltage should be larger than at least 3.05V, then the BATFET would conduct(tested by measure Vsys and Vbat at the same time and see if they are very close).
When they turn the battery voltage down, they find the BATFET would disconnect when voltage down to 2.85V. In our datasheet, it shows the VBAT_DPL voltage is 2.5V max. There is mismatch during the test result and the datasheet result. could you help give some comments on this?
Vbat = 3V:
Vbat = 3.05V
Vbat = 2.9V
Vbat = 2.85V.
