Hello there,
I would like to ask a question relevant to the UCB Type-C PD TKT Evaluation Module which uses the TPS65987DDJ.
As mentioned in the User's Guide, the EVM uses the default configurations to allow sourcing of 45W or 60W.
Does this mean that the TPS65987DDJ comes pre-programmed with the firmware where the role of each GPIO port is allocated according to the schematic diagram of the EVM?
In other words, if one were to use the TPS65987DDJ out-of-the-box for a USB-C charger application and therefore with similar circuitry as in the schematic of the EVM, would it work in the same way?
For example, when a PD contract for 15V is requested by a sink device, would the SPI_CLK (GPIO10) transition to HIGH in order to modify the feedback of the upstream buck converter and thus effectively request the 15V?
