Part Number: BQ24195
Hello TI team.
We are currently using the BQ24195 charger for our product and have discovered on occasion the charger fails to recognize the input power as good - according to the data sheet (SLUSB97A section 8.3.1.3.2 pg12-13) the input source qualification states:
1. VBUS voltage below 18 V (not in ACOV)
2. VBUS voltage above 3.8 V when pulling 30 mA (poor source detection)
We have measured the input source and know the input source passes both requirements however the charger limits the input current to 100mA but the System Status Register bit 2 indicates Not Power Good. Although the STAT pin indicates charge is occurring it is only charging at 100mA. We then command the input current limit to 2A but the charge current does not increase. The OTG pin is tied high. It appears the DPDM detection is incomplete. We have tried performing a D+/D- detect but that doesn't help.
Is there anyway to get the charger to start charging at the programmed charge current (1024 mA)?
