Part Number: BQ34110
Hello,
The bqstudio ver 1.3.90 Build1 (from April 16, 2019) has the option to automated the GPC Cycle.
Once Automated Mode is selected, the UI allows to test the pins VOUTx of the EV2400. There are two push buttons with two states: pressed and released.
My expectation is that while the button state is pressed, the VOUTx signal keep high until the state button is change to release. However, the signal pins are high for some variable time (around 500ms and 2000ms) independently of the button state.
I started developing a system to detect these pulses (based on a micro-controller) in order to control two relays to enable/disable the charger and load. However, after each stage is finished, there is not signals on the pins
In summary, may the GPC cycle can be performed in automated mode using the EV2400?
Additionally, may the GPC cycle be performed with a power supply and load simulator managed by other system/application (not bqstudio) neither BQ34110 to acquire the data? This approach is describe below:
- Discharging: enable the load and stop with termination voltage, while recording the Voltage, Current and Temperature coming from the simulator and external sensors
- Charging: enable a power supply and stop with tapper current, while recording the Voltage, Current and Temperature coming from the power supply and external sensors
Or is preferable to acquire the data with same sensors (i.e. BQ34110) in order to avoid any difference?
Thanks
