The propagation delay time of the CDCVF2502-Q1 is function of something referred to as the "delta" load on the CLKOUT pin, shown in the data sheet , Figure 1.
I get that this is the difference between the capacitance on CLKOUT and on the drivers, but I don't understand how to determine what the driver load is. It's not defined in either the data sheet or the app note SCAA045 (11/00)
There are 4 driver outputs on this part. If I have 30pf of load on 1Y0, 31pf of load on 1Y1, 18 pf on 1Y2 and 14pf on 1Y3, is my driver load:
1) 31pF (the biggest load)?
2) 14pF (the smallest load)?
3) 93pF (the parallel combination of all loads)?
4) 5.2 pF (the series combination of all loads)?
5) 23 pf (the average of all loads)
6) something else?
I'm going to do some testing to determine final value when the PCB is done, but I'd like to start out at least close.
Thanks.
