LAUNCHXL-F28069M: using QEP module

hello,

I have a Luanchxl-f28069M and boostxl drv 8301. I want to run PMSM with nominal voltage 24 v, rated current 6.9 A. I see instaspin motion supports a sensored (encoder based) control, so i want to use the QEP connections. can I use motorware and universal gui to  control a sensored based or encoder based control?
