cc2540 chip erase with SmartRFProgConsole.exe

i have tried to use the 'CE' action with SmartRFProgConsole.exe, but no success....  the command is formed as:

    SmartRFProgConsole.exe S CE

this command is part of a .bat script which then proceeds to program the device *and* debug-lock a particular page...

    SmartRFProgConsole.exe S EPV F=Prog.hex LPD(0)

the scripts "hangs" on the second command, suggesting that the debug interface of my cc2540 has not in fact been reset....  i presume a chip reset has in fact happened at some point here -- or perhaps that the problem, in which my question is:  "how do i effect a chip-reset using SmartRFProgConsole.exe

using the SmartRFProg GUI, i'm able to perform a chip-erase -- after which, i can then load Prog.hex from the command-line
