ftrasterize question

I created a mono spaced font that works really well, but it's missing the degrees symbol (0xb0).  When I try to generate an extended font range I get the following warning:

ftrasterize.exe: Warning: Zero width glyph for 0xa0.

Glyph 0xa0 causes the generated font max width to change from 9 to 10.  All of my work has been done with a 9 pixel wide font, so this is a big problem.

Is there any way to remove a single glyph(0xa0) in a range?
Is there any way to add a single glyph(0xb0) to the default range (0x02-0x7e)?

This is the command line I am using:
ftrasterize.exe -f sansbtp_ -m -s 19 -e 176 sansbtp.ttf
