CCS/MSP430F5529: Difficulty installing additional compilers after CCS has been installed and running

A customer of mine had previously used CCS6 with C2000 to compile for a project. At installation they didn't install the MSP430 compiler tools. Now following the guide below, they have been unsuccessful in adding the MSP430 tools:

MSP-CGT-18 was downloaded from the link below:

http://www.ti.com/tool/msp-cgt

Is 18 not compatible with CCS6? It would never recognize in the preferences menu.
