TAS5630B: Amplifier shutdown depending on supply voltage

Part Number:TAS5630B

Hi all,

I am currently using TAS5630B in a system the produces a 240 Hz sine wave further boosted by a toroidal transformer.

Lately, I need to increase the set gain of the amplifier and have noticed a really silly behaviour:

For a higher AMP level, when supplying the amplifier with 50V I get a SHUTDOWN event. However, decreasing the supply voltage (e.g. to 35 or 25 Volts) while keeping the same AMP level results in the amplifier working fine.

What I can state is that SHUTDOWN is not due to overcurrent or overtemperature (actually the overall current used is higher for lower supply voltage and so it is the generated heating).

Has anyone encountered a similar problem in the past?

What could possibly be the reason?

Thank you all in advance for your replies and suggestions!
