Team, I have a customer designing around this part, as well as the matching 954 deserializer, but they have some questions on the front end. They are wanting to use a full HD Image Sensor (1920x1200, 60fps), and their goal is to design the converter from HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 such that it can handle the conversion step without causing any distortion in the images or impact the frame rate.
We were hoping you could comment on the following:
- If they are converting from HDMI to CSI-2 on the front end, does the device that performs this have to have a maximum frame rate and resolution less than or equal to the ones supported by the serializer?
- What happens if we continuously change the frame rate and the resolution on the input? Does the serializer have the ability to adapt, or does it have to be reconfigured before the rate is changed?
