Hi- I need more detail on hardware and software shutdown in the LM48901, beyond what is explained in the datasheet (p44):
1. Do HW or SW shutdown act as a Reset? For example, if the LM48901 "hangs" the I2C bus, can the SHDN pin be asserted to place the 48901 back into I2C slave mode?
2. What else does shutdown do, functionally?
3. To implement a system Sleep mode, is there any power consumption difference between HW and SW shutdown?
4. If PVdd goes below spec as the battery discharges, the amplifier begins to oscillate. If the amp is muted in software, will the amp remain muted as long as DVdd (logic core supply) stays in spec?
