BQ27542-G1: Differences in "Golden Image" from "Golden DF"

I have used one of my production units connected to bqStudio to perform a learning cycle.  First I set the ChemID of the battery, using the Update Chemistry button in bqStudio.  Next I perform a learning cycle on the unit, using the automated approach, and it successfully finished, updating Qmax, and the Resistance Tables.  Then I can create a dump of the Data Flash using the Data Memories tab and an srec using the Golden Image tab.

From this point what is the difference between setting up a brand new unit in these three different ways:

1. The golden image (.srec)
2. The master fuel gauge Data Memory (.gg.csv)
3. Setting the Chemistry with the GUI, then writing the master fuel gauge Data Memory (.gg.csv)

Also is it possible to turn off the Impedance track on these learned golden images while factory testing is done on the boards, then enable it again when the battery is installed on the boards?
