Part Number:INA181

Hello team,

Hope you are doing well. When you get a chance please see below customer question:

INA181A1 in our design to measure high-side unidirectional load current using 1 Ohm sense resistor.

INA181A1 output voltage is measured by ADC and if current rises above 100 mA for more then 5 msec the load is switched off for 3 sec. The problem is that we need load voltage up to 29V.

Maximum common mode volage defined in INA181 datasheet is 26V (Page 7 - Absolute maximum ratings).

But there is also remark (3) that Common mode voltage can safely exceed 26V if current to pin limited to 5mA.

As I understand internal series resistor for sensing pins has 25KOhm value for A1 (20x gain) verison.

So my question is: If I can use load voltage 29V if current limited to 100 mA?
