Hello,
having some experience with Contiki we know about mesh and its pitfalls.
Now I look at the current Zigbee status and in this version it has some nice benefits.
But it ist useable outside 'home automation'?
Our typical usecase is M2M & remote conbtrols in sometimes hars environments. Thats why we use today only 434MHz narrow band star topologies with typcial 140dB link budget, 2.4GHz is a no-go.
But the demand for Mesh is popping up again and again: Contiki is to unpredictable to handle and can't deal fast enough with moving nodes (so our experience with Contiki ~3 years ago, based on MSP430), so a quasi standard in TIs stack like Zigbee might be an alternative.
But: is it usable for our industrial demands? What about the link budget / routing of mobile end devices / & just the details if I use it beyond ~30m?
Where an I find the documentation how the routing works ?
Lot of questions, thanks for advice
