Hi dear TI-staff,
I am evaluating the PDK with normal electrode-cables. They are 3 meters long. I have to show the overall quality of the measurement, compared with ADInstruments-hardware. (It is a work for my university, something like a master thesis)
In that post http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/precision_data_converters/f/73/p/156919/668091.aspx#668091 you told, that the shield-driver is unpopulated.
Do you mean, the shield-driver is not built on board, does that result in unshielded cables? Can I build something to get a shield-driver for the cables? I want to compare TI against ADInstruments, but to get realistic results i have to include the influence of all cables.
I am using: Cables from "Biometric cables" (the ones in the datasheed) 3 meters long
ADS1298 ECG-FE (Rev C)
Maybe you can also help me with another problem: I want to connect a generator (sinus) to channel 2, but to get better results i want to connect also the right leg. How should I do that ? Connecting to earth still gets me 50 Hz noise (about 0.3 mVpp, sinus = 1 mVpp) I am using a bipolar generator.
thank you very very much!
have a nice day,
sincerely yours, Philip
