TMDSDOCK28379D: sync an A2D sample to a peak of a sine signal in a F28379D DELFINO EXPERIMENTER KIT

Hi, 

We purchased a F28379D DELFINO EXPERIMENTER KIT and I would like to know if the following is possible:

Is it possible to sync an A2D sample to a peak of a sine signal?
What I mean is that we have an analog sine generator (which we can sample) and we would like to find the the peak of e sine and sample another signal each time we find the peak.
