Part Number:TLV320DAC32
Hi,
My customer is looking for a solution similar to TLV320DAC32 with a buffered memory where they can preload a sound (clicks, beeps, on the order of 0.1 to 1s long) without having to rely on precise real time streaming from a MCU. Could you help me with a recommendation?
Here are the details:
Right now they PWM from a MCU into an amp. The problem is that the PWM is not very high quality, so they are looking at possible DAC + amp solutions. One possible issue is they may not be able to properly run the I2S audio stream with other higher priority threads going on in the MCU. Maybe another solution is a DAC or DAC+Amp that has an 8-bit parallel input, rather than I2S?
I saw the TLV320AIC3100 and TLV320AIC1110 Beeps or Tones Wiki article but the customer is interested in a low cost device. Look forward to your recommendation.
Thanks,
Chuchen
