Greetings
I need to implement a Real Time Clock in an Arduino UNO design and A Raspberry PI design.
Although the use is not the same in each, the general scenario is to just assign a Date / Time Stamp to a specific event.
The preferred interface is I2C. I also have no need for supervisory functions, although a 1 sec pulse would be nice, or at least a 32.768 KHZ output
In the Arduino UNO the RTC will simply provide a Date / Time Stamp to power on and power off events monitored by the Arduino UNO.
In the Raspberry Pi, the exact usage has not been defined, but it would follow the general scenario of providing the Data / Time Stamp in response to a specific event.
After providing these Date / Time Stamps the Stamps will be stored, either internally in the RTC, or externally.
I see no particular reason to store these Date / Time Stamps internally in the RTC. I see it as cost prohibitive for my scenarios.
I guess some initial suggestions would be desired as I don't want to buy what I don't need.
Thanks
