Part Number:DP83TC811S-Q1
Tool/software: Linux
We are using kernel version 3.18.x. We have backported the PHY driver (the one from linux-next) and it seemingly works.
The changes I made:
- MMD access was performed differently in 3.18
- I added the read of MII_DP83811_INT_STAT3 in dp83811_ack_interrupt to acknowledge the power-on interrupt that is always on after boot. I guess you haven't used interrupts in your setup (?)
However there is no link reported. All I see that the Energy Detect interrupt flag is set in INT_STAT1. I tried both master and slave setups. Same behavior.
Could you provide us with a small guide how to perform diagnostics/self test to see where the problem is? What signals shall we check? We can access the registers from the driver, start BIST etc. We need a brief description what to connect/what patterns to check.
Thanks,
Viktor
