I'm thinking about acquiring this projector to use in a 3D structured light scanner, which will be connected through the HDMI port (Because the software does not allow me to connect it in any other way, I can not save the patterns to project into the memory of the projector). The reason why I want to use this projector, the one that has square pixels. This allows me that the projected striped pattern will be correct, and not have the lines deformed.
1) I wanted to know if it is advisable to use in structured light
2) If you have any disadvantage against the DLPLCR6500EVM and distortion?
