CCSv5.2.1 msp430 compiler optimization

Hi,

I am interested to know how to enter additional compiler flags in ECLIPSE CCSv5? It does not seem that eclipse ccsv5 allows that, and secondly I want the compiler/linker not to link  the c functions that I dont call, but they are there in a source module or a library that I link against. Is there other flags except "--gen_func_subsections=on" that i can use and how ?
