I am having some trouble getting the PP_SALB-EVM to get past the fitting stage.
I am following the procedure in the SLOU363A Revised June 2014 App note.
I have an external 24V supply and USB connected.
The “Run Hardware Checks” appears to go OK. 
The sine calibration produces a loud sine tone as expected.
The “Running IV Checks” produces a few seconds of noise, but then the following model fit fails. Included is a screenshot of that.
I believe the PC Audio settings are correct at least according to directions. I am using a HP laptop with Windows 7.
Nothing seems to help this.
I did have a look at SLAA757 “Smart Amp Quick Start Guide” It’s meant for a different PCB but there are similarities when using PPC. I never see a result, similar to Figure 7, where the dark blue trace indicates a fit to the measured curve, you can see on my screenshot the dark blue trace is on the bottom of the graph as opposed to Figure 7. On my screenshot, you can also see the impedance axis has values that are very small. The DC ohms of the speaker under test is 6.5ohms.
Changing the fit parameters or Speaker types makes no difference.
I have seen things like this before, ie. The Parts Express DATS system will wig-out if the windows mixer levels aren’t correct.
Any ideas?
