How to get 2-byte PANIDs of nearby networks to be able to select which NWK to join?

Hello,

   I'm using ZNP and would like a device to scan to get a list of all nearby PANs and then select which to join. In order to join I need the 2-byte PANID. I see that ZDO_MGMT_NWK_DISC_REQ command in ZNP returns the 8-byte extended PANID, as per the Zigbee Specification. How do I get the 2-byte PANID from these results? Or, is there a better way to get the 2-byte PANID of all nearby networks?
