Hi,
I'm battling some issues with the TRF7960, using the SPI interface on the EVM module (jumpers switched over from parallel i/f).
I can set up the internal registers fine (0-11) and read them back to verify; I then send out the slot read sequence and get the TX IRQ bit set and the IRQ line pulled high shortly after, so that seems fine, and I also see modulation at the antenna. However, if there is a tag in the field, I start to get continuous RX and error interrupts and am unable to reset the IRQ - I've included the dummy reads and they seem to do the job with the TX interrupts, but not when it gets into this state. Now, this has been raised before here (http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/667/t/92773.aspx) and was resolved with a series resistor on MOSI, but that hasn't resolved it for me.
So, I've tried to modify the Interrupt Mask register - I need to do it anyway for multi-slot reads, but was hoping to block off the various error interrupts for debug. However, any writes to it seem ineffectual - I always read back the default 0x3e value. I've tried single writes and block writes with the same result. As mentioned, I have no problem modifying registers 0-11.
If this peculiar combination of strange behaviours rings any bells and is an issue someone has resolved before, I'd be mighty grateful for any suggestions!
Thanks,
Brendan.
