Part Number:CDCLVP1216

We are using CDCLVP1216 to replace ON-Semi's NB100LVEP224. We used board provided 1.2V to pull-up 50 ohm on each input leg to couple LVPECL clock when we used NB100LVEP224. Now we want to use same method on CDClvp1216, however, how to process pin Vac_ref, can we leave it float? I attach our schematic design here, please help us checking with it.

Thanks

TX517EVM: Generate different freq. than the ones already on the TX517EVMboard

Part Number:TX517EVM

Dear TI friends,

We would like to generate different frequecncy (400 Khz ~ 800 Khz) using TX517EVM. As explained on the user manual, page 10 table 4 (www.ti.com/.../slou317b.pdf), we can generate 4 different frequencies starting from 10Mhz up to 100 Mhz. This range of frequency is good for medical applications. However, we're planning to use TX517EVM for sonar applications. In sonar applications, we typically use a frequency between 400 Khz ~ 800 Khz. Is there a simple way to configure the output frequency of TX517EVM?

As always, thank you for your wonderful support :)

TM4C123GH6PM: Reset Vector and Internal flash memory

Part Number:TM4C123GH6PM

Hi,

From tm4c123g launch pad datasheet, the vector table for ARM processors lies at memory location 0x00000000 as shown bellow.

Now from same datasheet, the internal flash memory is mapped at location 0x00000000.

Now if we go to page#540,

at memory location 0x00000000 we have flash control registers...

So my questions are:

1) How is it possible to have registers at a place where the Vector table is suppose to exist?

2) As from the datasheet, the contents at location 0x00000000 is copied to SP. but going into Assembly of a dummy project (using Keil-5), after Reset, the Reset_Handler is immediately called and the sequence goes as:

Reset_Handler -> SystemInit ->__main -> __rt_entry -> __user_setup_stackheap() -> __rt_stackheap_init() ..... main()

so where is the instruction that copies the contents of memory location 0x00000000 to stack pointer?

Part Number:HD3SS215

Hi.

I have a question while designing the HD3SS215.

The input pins of the HD3SS215 are designed to receive differential signals.
As shown in the figure below, even if the input signal of the display port changes polarity and enters the HD3SS215,
Please make sure that there is no problem in switching the signal from the HD3SS215 to the DP receiver.

Can I get a quick answer?

Thanks.

Dear TI Employees,

I've already read the manuals of  TX810 and  TX810EVM. I would like to know in more details what this board does, and why do we need this board. Any general information about T/R switches are appreciated. I searched on the internet about T/R switches but I couldn't find any proper documents.

Thank you for your kind help.

TPS61196: Could you tell me about TPS61196's specification value of electrical characteristic?

Part Number:TPS61196

Hi, team.

I have a question about TPS61196's specification value of electrical characteristic.

Could you tell me?

The recommended VOUT range of this device is VIN (MIN) to 120 V (MAX).

Is this 120 V decided by the boost ratio that comes from the minimum on time and the duty cycle?

<The question from the customer is this>

Although it is thought the rated voltage value of the IC is not related ( think from the peripheral circuit ),

How is the maximum value of the boost voltage decideed?

Best regards,

Masumi Sekiguchi

Part Number:TPD1E10B06

Hi,

I know that both TPD1E10B06 and TPD1E10B09 have IV curve in datasheet, but now my customer request us to provide the IV Curve with zooming small current, that is zoomed current circled in red. They need to know it because they'd like to estimate the impact to the signal due to this leakage current. Actually competitor provide the IV curve with logarithmic current range in datasheet.

I2C Bus Length

Dear Sir/Madam

We have designed one system where we are using 7bit I2C address and connecting 30 slave boards to the Master board on same I2C Bus. My master and Slave boards are connected with PCB or Rigid+Flex PCB.

Attached is the I2C waveform which we captured after we connect 10, 20 & 30 Slave to the BRAIN/Master. Brain/master and each slave using 4.7k pull up resistor with 3.3V & each slave is generating its own 3.3V and GND is common in the whole system.

Now my question if we use 10bit address to connect more slave to the same I2C bus, will it be allow me to connect on the same bus without any problem, based on the attached waveform? Can you please guide how we can check and verify the same? The newer slave will be same as earlier 10/20/30 slaves and will have the pull up of 4.7k

In nut shell if we use 10bit I2C address and BRAIN is connected with 1020slaves(BRAIN and Slaves connected with PCB and connector, no cables used to connect them) what parameter we check and how so can be sure that i can physically do the same. Please help/guide so we can expand the system.

Thanks

Part Number:TPS54526

Hi,

I'm using TPS54526PWP in my design.

I'm using it to generate 1.35V and 1.8V from 5V.

Please find the attached schematics for reference.

My question is whether I can use 2.2uH in place of 1.5uH inductor (output) as suggested in the datasheet ?

What will be the effects of 2.2uH instead of 1.5uH ?

Please let me know ASAP.

Part Number:TPIC2060A

Dear Sirs,

My customer asked us about reset condition of TPIC2060A.

The TPIC2060A will automatically reset when 5V falls below 3.7V.
Can this function(RESET operation) be turned off?

I checked datasheet,

Then  I found "XRSTIN=L".

Is there a relation between this external Reset terminal setting?

TLV431: PWM "constant current" sink application

Part Number:TLV431

Hi all,

I am trying to build a constant current sink using the TLV431 as a voltage reference and a NPN BJT (BC549C) on the output.

The circuit is shown below:

VG1 is the PWM signal (0-5V nominally), AM1 is used to monitor the current flowing from the 12V battery while VF1 were used to monitor the voltage across the base and the emitter of the bjt.

From the simulation it seems to work, and from bench testing it seems to work too.

However I am not sure if I forgot anything, especially regarding the OFF state phase, where the Vref pin voltage is not regulated. What do you think?

Thank you for your help and time,

Andrea C.

Hello all,

A customer ask,

" How does this module deal with different Bluetooth frequencies in different countries (e.g. US and Japan)? Is it different modules or do I need to configure it to the specific country? We would like to use the CC2650MODA in a new project. Are there any plans to discontinue this product? How many years will it be available? Could you please send me a 3D CAD model of the CC2650MODA? "

Could anyone help me with this?

AM3352: 1us counter with DMTimer

Part Number:AM3352

Hi,

We need to implement a 1us Free Running timer with AM335x DMTimer.
A 25MHz external oscillator (CLK_M_OSC) is used in this application.

This application don't use any OS, it is a simple bare metal application.

Looking at the DMtimer's Prescaler options, we believe it is not
possible to create a 1MHz clock with the available Prescaler.

So the only option would be using an external 1Mhz clock into "TCLKIN" input pin.
We can create a 1MHz PWM output signal with PWMSS module and use it
as an external clock to TCLKIN.

Please let us know if this is a feasible option and if there is any other good option available.

Kummi

Part Number:TPS61093

Hi,

Let me talk about the settable output voltage of TPS61093.
For sudden change in specifications, customer want to set the output voltage to 18V.
I got two questions from customers.

・Is this device capable of outputting 18V?
(It is possible to deal with reducing the output current.)
・The recommended operation is 17V. However, the absolute maximum rating is 20V.
Please tell me the background with 17V recommended operating range.

Could you give me your advice?

TUSB2046B: EXTMEM pin

Part Number:TUSB2046B

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TUSB2046B?

There is the description  "The EXTMEM pin enables or disables the optional EEPROM interface. When the EXTMEM pin is high, the product ID (PID) displayed during enumeration is the general-purpose USB hub."
So, when we don't use the optional EEPROM interface, should EXTMEM pin connects to High?

TMS320C6746: No stable work of the DSP

$

Part Number:TMS320C6746

Hello!

We would like to have some help with our design.
We designed and manufactured this board and we have some problems with it.
We manufactured 20 boards and had next problems:
1. The picture that we get from the camera that connecterd to DSP have yellow hue. Replacing camera no helped, but when at board with normal picture we replaced DSP - after replacing the picture accept yellow hue. We had 5 boards that had this issue.
2. After some time of running - there are appeared short circuit between 3.3V and GND. And after DSP replacing the short circuit disappeared. We had 3 board with this problem.
3. After some time of running the JTAG emulator couldn't connect to the board. And we get  at Code Composer next error:
After DSP replacing this issue was resolve. We had 7 boards with this problem.
4. The problem that we able to connect to the board with the emulator, but can't burn the Flash - the Code Composer give error :SPI Flash failed" And at debug/stream mode we get next error:
And if you press OK you get:
This problem we had at 4 boards. And even DSP/DDR/Flash replacing didn't helped to sort it out..
For power of the DSP we used recommended TI components and design. Here are the schematic:

At our tests we discovered that we have exceptions at power levels, when because of noise and ripples we have at core 1.3±70mV instead of 1.3±50mV. Same problem with the 1.2V.
The possible problems that maybe make those problems are:
1. The power components placed relatively close to DSP chip - that maybe no so good for right DSP performance.
2. The area for DSP and its components is very small.
The top of layout of the DSP part is:

When we can see at top DDR K4T1G164QF-BCE7, then DSP and then power components.

The bottom of the same part of DSP:

The board consists of 10 layers.
We can provide complete layout (*.brd) for review.
Can you please help us in founding possible failure points that we will take into account at the next version of our design.
Thank you in advance
