Part Number: TPS562208

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is going to evaluate TPS562208 for next their products.

They have a question as the follow. Could you please give me your comment?

 Q. Why is R3 resistor(10.0kohm) inserted on EN signal line as Figure 19 on page 12 of the device datasheet?

     Is the resistor mandatory?

  Your reply would be appreciated.

Compiler/TMS320F28377D: Watchdog is disabled or blocked by debugger

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hi,

Previously I encountered a problem where the copy of BINIT table was taking too long so that the watchdog is triggered during stand-alone boot.

The problem was solved by disable the watchdog in code_start. However, if I connect the device to the debugger and the device is being debugged, the application works fine, and watchdog is not triggered.

The TI engineer who answered my previous posts said that when the device is being debugged, debugger will automatically disable the watchdog, which I have checked that after loading the program and the application being taken to main(), watchdog is disabled.

But what confuses me is that during debug, after I "reset" in CCS and "resume", the application works fine as well. Here is what I did:

1. Load the application to flash and chose the emulation boot to flash. After loading, I saw that the watchdog was disabled and application stopped at main().

2. In code_start, I do not disable the watchdog.

3. Put a breakpoint at the beginning of code_start.

4. After "reset", watchdog was disabled. But after "resume" in CCS and the application stopped at the start of code_start. watchdog was enabled again(checked WDCR register).

After "reset":

After "resume" and stopped at "LB  _c_int00":

Now in theory, after "reset" and "resume", device will go through the emulation boot flow, and trigger the watchdog since it has not enough time to copy the BINIT table, and watchdog is enabled again after the emulation boot flow and before it enters code_start.

5. I then pressed the "resume" twice, however, the application can safely run to main() where the other breakpoint was inserted and run the rest of its course without triggering the watchdog.

As mentioned above, watchdog was enabled again after "resume"(presumably during the boot flow) and before code_start can even execute, then why the watchdog was not triggered later on? I have checked the RESC register, WDRSn was not set during the experiment. It means that watchdog didn't even triggered. So is this because the time needed for the copy of BINIT table is shorter when the debugger is connected? Or is this because debugger will block the watchdog reset entirely even prevent the WDRSn bit in RESC register from being set?

John

LSF0204: Sch. design question

Part Number: LSF0204

Dear Sir/Ms.

The LSF0204PWR line has to confirm two problems with you.
1. There are Vref_A and Vref_B on the IC pin.
Vref_A must be connected to a lower voltage
Is Vref_B connected to a higher voltage?
2. Does the Enable pin have to pull high to a low voltage power supply?
Or can high voltage and low voltage be connected?
Thank you

TUSB320: VDD voltage range at UFP

Part Number: TUSB320

Hello,

In the datasheet, there is a schematic of UFP in I2C mode  and on Table 11 clearly specified VDD is 5V.

In this example INT_N/OUT3 and ID ports are pulled up to 5V, but if we connect 3.3V rail for pull up voltage, Can you accept to use VDD=3.3V?

So we should not allow back-driving from I2C pull up resistor to VDD terminal internally , that is why VDD should be grater than 3V.

It is simple question but our customer wants to confirm it.

Mochizuki

Hello Everyone,

I am doing a project which is called a site monitoring system based on msp430f5529. On that project i am using a DS3231 IC interface with I2C Protocol. i have write the code and its working , its give a accurate time on main power supply, but when its goes for battery i found my time is not accurate , i found 2 sec extra in 48 hours when its goes for battery.

so i request you please cooperate us what is problem behind that

waiting for your positive response.

AWR1243: Antenna Calibration of AWR1243

Part Number: AWR1243

Hi

Let me ask questions of antenna calibration for AWR1243P cascade.

TI expert introduced procedure in the following thread.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/p/832764/3095455#3095455

The thread told the following document.

http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tiduen5/tiduen5.pdf

①First question: What it interpolation factor? Could you tell me how to calculate it for me?

The document says "Iinterp is the interpolation factor used for frequency calibration that is further explained in the next section"  on 3.3.2.1 section, but I was not able to find it in the next section.

http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tiduen5/tiduen5.pdf

②Second question: Antenna calibration should be done on individual basis? Or is it per design of prototype?

Thanks

LM337L: The output result doesn't meet

Part Number: LM337L

Dear Sir or Madam

As debugging the circuit related to LM337L , I found that the output voltage didn't meet the result it should be according  to the equation of the datasheet .

While , here is my schematics .

R29 wasn't mounted in the board .  As tested , the port MIX_VIN is about 11.8 Volts .

But unexpectedly , the TRG_PLIM  port was about   2.6 Volts , which was not correct and should be about 3.3 volts .

After replacing the R30 with a 1.37Kohm resistor , the TRG_PLIM  port  was about   3.0 Volts ,which should be 3.4Volts according to the equation .

Therefore , would you mind to give me some tips that if I missed something or did some thing inappropriate in my design ?

Kind regards

Anglic

Hi,

I am using a bidirectional level translator (P/N CLVC16T245MDGGEP) from SN74LVC16T245-EP series.

Do I need to hold the OE# pin in any recommended logic level until VCCA and VCCB are fully ramped & stable?

Part Number: BQ24157

Hi Sir

The measure waveform, may we check as below questions with you?

The questions as below:

  1. What is the correspondence between the Vout and Vin of the BQ24715 in different Cell settings?

        2. Suppose that in the case of 3Cell, if each Cell is fully charged at 4.2V, does Vin need a higher value than the output (Ex: 12.6V)?? How much voltage does Vin need to output higher than?

How much voltage should I add if needed? Is there a relationship??

Part Number: TDA2E

Hi,

I am testing the vip_single_cam_openvx use case. This use case uses DSP as the target CPU and it works well.
However, I'm interested in using EVE as the target CPU to test this usecase. I want to know how to change the target CPU. Can you give me a hand?
Thank you.

CCS/CC2640R2F: [RTLS AOA] Is it possible to trigger another passive node start monitor after a demo set had already started?

Part Number: CC2640R2F

Hi,

It seems that current RTLS AOA example need to trigger all node to work at the same time. Is it possible to trigger another passive node with the same connection info from master node to start monitor?

Actually I have tried the flow for another passive: set connection info => connection success => set param => success => enable => success

But most of time nothing happened and occasionally it start monitor and return angle result. So I guess it may need to start with the mater and slave at the same time.

But could any one explain that or something i missed?

Hello,

I am using a bidirectional Level translator SN74LVC16T245-EP in one of our project. I have confusion that How should be OE pin before VCCA and VCCB are fully ramped and stable?

Any special power supply recommendation is there for this Part.

Any performance degradation will be there if OE pin was grounded by default?
